根据发表在《BMJ Heart》上的一项研究，致命心脏病更可能发生在周一。研究人员分析了2013年-2018年间10,528名因ST段抬高型心肌梗死（STEMI）发作入院的患者数据。研究人员发现，STEMI发病率在工作周开始时飙升，星期一最高，周日也高于预期。这一被称为Blue Monday的现象此前就研究过。研究人员称，工作周起始与STEMI发病率存在强相关性，可能是多种因素导致的，其中之一是昼夜节律。
